Reading, agreeing to, and accepting, in full, all provisions contained in these Terms of Use are essential for you to acquire and use Rontgen. By doing so, you will be contracting with us a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use Rontgen, in the desktop software modality, regulated by these Terms of Use.

Additionally, these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy constitute inseparable parts of the same document, and should always be read and interpreted together.

Combining a rich text editor with advanced artificial intelligence, real-time audio transcription and personalized automation, Rontgen is the definitive solution for professionals who value efficiency and quality.

2. MY CONTRACT WITH RONTGEN

2.1. We are BEZERRA MATIAS SERVICOS MEDICOS LTDA (CNPJ No. 38.377.557/0001-19), the creator and developer of Rontgen.

2.2. Your contract with us includes these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy and any additional terms you agree to, including our use of software and programs developed by third parties to provide the regular operation of Rontgen.

2.3. It should be clarified that Rontgen is composed of technologies, modules and services both proprietary and also made available by third parties for its full operation. Rontgen uses third-party libraries under different licenses (LGPL, MIT, Apache 2.0, among others), all properly complied with.

2.4. In the event of suspension of these third-party services (AI APIs, transcription services, etc.) or changes in the conditions of use that in any way make continued use unfeasible, we will inform you of the repercussions on your tools, offering alternatives when possible.

2.5. We may occasionally make changes to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for legitimate reasons, such as: improving existing functions or features, adding new functions or features to the software, implementing scientific and technological advances, in addition to reasonable technical adjustments, aimed at ensuring the operability and/or security of Rontgen.

2.6. You will be notified of each change through your registered email or through notification in the software itself. We will understand your consent if you continue using Rontgen after the changes.

3. ACCESS CONDITIONS AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

3.1. To use Rontgen correctly, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

Supported Operating System: Windows (64-bit)

Minimum Requirements: 4 GB RAM, 1 GB disk space, Internet connection (for AI and transcription), Microphone (for audio features)

Recommended Requirements: 8 GB RAM or more, 5 GB disk space, Stable internet connection, Professional quality microphone

3.2. These technological resources (computer/laptop, internet, operating system) must be provided by you at your exclusive expense.

3.3. The electronic device must be in full compliance with the minimum functional and security requirements necessary for the enjoyment of the services offered by Rontgen, which is exempt from any responsibility arising from non-compliance with the provisions of these Terms of Use.

3.4. To use AI and transcription features, it is necessary to configure the corresponding APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) with your own credentials and bear the costs of using these APIs with the respective suppliers.

4. LICENSING AND ACTIVATION

4.1. Rontgen is commercial software that requires a valid license for use. The license can be purchased through the official website rontgen.app.

4.2. License Model: One installation per machine per purchased license, Complete commercial use allowed, License guarantees access to all application versions developed up to 1 year from activation, Technical support via email, All features available

4.3. License activation is performed through the KeyAuth system. KeyAuth generates a unique hash based on various system parameters to identify the user's computer. This hash is encrypted and does not reveal specific components, machine name or personal data. Additionally, the IP is collected only partially and temporarily, serving only for session control and security, without allowing complete user tracking. This approach ensures device authenticity while maintaining end-user privacy and anonymity.

4.4. Sharing, selling, transferring or any form of unauthorized distribution of the license is prohibited. Each license is personal and non-transferable.

4.5. Attempting to circumvent the licensing system, including but not limited to reverse engineering, use of cracks or keygens, will result in immediate cancellation of the license without right to refund, in addition to applicable legal measures.

5. PAYMENT AND RENEWAL

5.1. The price of the Rontgen license is available on the official website and includes: Perpetual license for the purchased version, Access to all versions released up to 1 year after activation, Technical support via email during the update period

5.2. After the 1-year period, the software will continue to work normally with the last version obtained, but new updates and technical support require renewal of the maintenance license.

5.3. You agree that any and all taxes, fees and/or contributions that may be created and come to affect the Rontgen license will be passed on to the final price.

5.4. License prices may be reviewed periodically, applying only to new purchases.

6. USER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

6.1. By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you declare: Having legal capacity to contract, Using Rontgen in accordance with current legislation, Being responsible for content created and processed in the software, Maintaining confidentiality about your API credentials and license

6.2. It is expressly prohibited to: Share, sell or distribute your license, Perform reverse engineering, decompile or modify the software, Remove or alter intellectual property notices, Use the software for illegal or unethical purposes, Violate third-party rights through software use

6.3. Content responsibilities: You are solely responsible for content created, edited or processed, Rontgen does not review, moderate or take responsibility for user content, It is your responsibility to ensure that content does not violate laws or third-party rights

6.4. Use of third-party APIs: You must obtain and configure your own API credentials, API usage costs are your responsibility, You must comply with the terms of use of each API provider

6.5. Data backup and security: You are responsible for backing up your documents and settings, Rontgen is not responsible for local data loss

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1. Rontgen and all its components are protected by copyright and intellectual property rights, belonging exclusively to BEZERRA MATIAS SERVICOS MEDICOS LTDA and/or its licensors.

7.2. This license does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the user, only the right to use according to these terms.

7.3. Third-Party Libraries: Rontgen uses open source libraries under different licenses: PySide6/Qt6 (LGPL) - maintained separately in external_libs/, MIT libraries (LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic), Apache 2.0 libraries (Google Cloud), All necessary attributions are included in the distribution

7.4. You acknowledge that Rontgen's source code is proprietary and confidential, except for the third-party libraries mentioned.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1. Rontgen is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8.2. We are not responsible for: Errors or inaccuracies in audio transcriptions, Results generated by AI models, Unavailability of third-party services (APIs), Data loss due to user failure to perform backups, Improper or illegal use of the software, Direct or indirect damages resulting from software use

8.3. Third-Party Services: The functioning of AI and transcription APIs depends on respective suppliers, We do not guarantee continuous availability of these services, Changes in API terms or prices are the responsibility of the suppliers

9. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

9.1. Technical support is provided exclusively via email during the update period (1 year).

9.2. Support includes: Assistance for software technical problems, Documentation, Bug fixes identified

9.3. Support does NOT include: Personalized training, Custom feature development, Third-party API support, Lost data recovery

10. PRIVACY AND SECURITY

10.1. Rontgen respects your privacy. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection and use.

10.2. Local Data: Your documents and settings are stored locally, We do not have access to your documents or content

10.3. Licensing Data: We collect only data necessary for license validation, Hardware ID is used only for license control, We do not share data with unrelated third parties

11. TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION

11.1. The license is perpetual for the purchased version, but can be canceled in case of: Violation of these Terms of Use, Fraudulent or illegal use, Attempt to circumvent the licensing system

11.2. In case of cancellation for violation, there will be no refund.

11.3. You may discontinue use at any time, but there is no refund after the warranty period.

12. GENERAL PROVISIONS

12.1. These Terms of Use are governed by Brazilian laws.

12.2. The forum of the district of São Paulo, São Paulo, is elected to resolve any issues arising from this contract.

12.3. The invalidity of any clause will not affect the validity of the others.
